Nearly Headless Jacob
Location: Crystalsong Forest
First of all, where did half this guy's head go? Nobody knows, but it's a safe bet to assume that it's probably how he earned his rather strange nickname. Don't let his rotting grin intimidate you too much, though. Use our strategies below to show this tamer and his undead pets who the true pet battle master is.
Pets to Use:
Emperor Crab (1,1,1)
Any other aquatic pet
Any other aquatic pet (or carry pet)
Any 2 pets with Snap, Renewing Mists, and Shell Shield will work here!
This is a rough fight to give an exact strategy for due to the nature of Death Grip. That being said, the general strategy here is to use 2 (or 3 if you're not doing a carry) aquatic pets. Open with your Emperor Crab or equivalent.
Shell Shield > Renewing Mists > Snap as filler.
Make sure you are keeping renewing mists and shell shield active at all times. Eventually your crab is going to die. You can swap in another crab or equivalent aquatic pet and just keep using the same strategy of slowy healing / shielding / and working away at your opponent's health.
It's a slow fight, but slow and steady wins the race against this difficult tamer.
OR check out this alternate strategy:
Pets to Use:
Brown Marmot (1,1,2)
Tolai Hare pup (2,2,1)
Any other pet
The strategy with this pet combo is pretty simple. Dive/Burrow when you need it. The Tolai Hare's Flurry ability and the Brown Marmot's Chomp ability are strong against this tamer's undead pets. This is a quick and dirty effective strategy with pets that are also very easy to acquire if you don't have them already.
Please note: Equivalent pets with the same skill sets will also work nicely, I was just using these 2 as an example.
