This fight is my least favorite pet tamer encounter in the game. I found it very hard to put together any kind of reliable 2 pet strategy. Listed below is a strategy that may work depending on your RNG if you are going for the plushie achievement.
I do not recommend using this fight as a carry fight, however, since it's very tricky and luck based. There are plenty of easier tamers out there to boost your lowbie pets with. I've also included a 3 pet strategy that will work if you just need to beat him for the meta achievement (you'll find that below).
Goz Banefury 2 pet with a carry strategy:
Pets to Use:
Anubisath Idol (1,1,2)
Emerald Proto-Whelp (1,2,2)
Carry pet
vs Twilight
Sandstorm > Crush > Rupture when Twilight has less than 350 health
If he ressurrects, cast Sandstorm when available > Crush
vs Amythel
Sandstorm when available > Crush until Idol dies
Swap to your Carry pet > Swap to Emerald Proto-Whelp
Open with Emerald Presence (keep it applied) > Breath as Filler > Emerald Dream when you are half health
vs Helios
Emerald Presence (keep it applied) > Breath as Filler > Emerald Dream when you are half health
Goz Banefury Alternate 3 pet strategy (RECOMMENDED):
Pets to Use:
Chrominius (2,1,2)
Nexus Whelping (1,2,1)
Iron Starlette (1,2,1)
vs Twilight
Open with Chrominius
Howl > Arcane Explosion > Surge of Power
If this doesn't kill Twilight, forfeit and try again. Twilight has to die before he can cast Dark Rebirth.
vs Amethyl
When Chrominius dies, swap to Nexus Whelping
Tail Sweep until Amethyl dies
vs Helios
Wild Magic > Swap to Iron Starlette
Wind Up > Supercharge > Wind Up
There's no date of when the 2 pet strategy worked, but currently (feb 2017, patch 7.1) it does not work: The last pet Helios has to much self healing to be finished off by the emerald proto-whelp.
