Tarr the Terrible Pet Battle

Tarr the Terrible

Tarr can be quite a pain with his gladiator pets, but have no fear. Here are several good strategies to take this rather difficult tamer down! Remember, all his pets are humanoid meaning any kind of undead comp will perform amazing here.

Pets to Use
Ghostly Skull (1,1,2)
Creepy Crate (1,x,2)
Any other undead pet

This one is definitely my favorite strategy to use. It's also quick and simple, making it my top choice when it comes to facing Tarr.

Open with your Ghostly Skull
Ghostly Bite x1 > Shadow Slash until you die
On your final undead turn, you will want to cast Unholy Ascension

Swap over to your Creepy Crate
Bonestorm x1 > Creepy Chomp until all of Tarr's pets are dead

If your Creepy Crate dies, which is unlikely, just have a 3rd undead pet ready to go. If you don't have a Creepy Crate, you can pretty much substitute any undead pet that has strong attacks against humanoids. The Unholy Ascension 25% damage boost makes almost undead pet work, so don't stress too much about your pet selection!


Alternate Strategy #1
Scourged Whelpling - (2,2,1)
Fossilized Hatchling - (2,2,2)
Anubisath Idol (1,1,1) or any other pet you would like to use

The general strategy is to keep Death and Decay up at all times. On your Scourged Whelping, you will want to be using Plagued Blood on CD and Tail Sweep as filler. On your Fossilized Hatchling you want to be using Bonestorm on CD and Bone Bite as filler. I normally use an extra backup pet with this strategy such as Anubisath Idol, just in case RNG is not favorable.


Alternate Strategy #2
Mechnical Pandaren Hatchling (x,x,2) (or any pet that has Decoy will work here)
Ruby Droplet (2,2,2)
Carry pet

Open with your Mechanical Pandaren Hatchling and drop Decoy.
Swap to your carry pet and then to Ruby Dropet.

Using a (2,2,2) build, just use all the abilities as available. Ruby Droplet will easily dispatch of Tarr the Terrible pets and help you ensure victory! You probably won't even have to bubble. Ruby Droplet is just amazing on this encounter.
